Loud drain

Well I put my sump back online last night, I also switched out the ball valve and stop valve combo for just a vinyl hose. I have a bit more gph now lol, it was pretty restricted. Also cleaned my return pump. Now my over flow is very loud. Anything I can add onto my overflow box to silence it a lil, it's easily 3x louder then it used to be. I have only 1 drain on the box and the hose extends into the sump and is about 1in underwater
