Hello all,
I've been thinking for a while now of starting up a 5 gallon nano reef. I was thinking of purchasing the fluval spec v as my aquarium. I have owned a saltwater tank about 3 years ago which was a Fish Only tank. My thoughts on equipment for the tank would be :
Fluval Spec V
Build My Led 14000k 12" or 18" high output light
50watt heater
Some sort of circulation pump (probably koralia)
Live sand
(Pretty much all the basics)
I was thinking of keeping:
2 snails
2 hermit crabs
Clown goby (not sure black, green or yellow)
Mushrooms
Green star polyps
Frogspawn (I've heard it's hardy but also heard it's not)
I have some questions though..
What salt would be the best salt for me to use?
How hard is it to keep my water parameters good?
What are some easy corals I could start with?
Thanks for anyone who replies!
