Reef octopus classic 90 or 1000 hob skimmer

I've been looking around at HOB skimmers and i've found that these 2 skimmers seem to be 2 that people recommend. 1 is the Reef Octopus 90, and the other is the Reef Octopus 1000. I personally like the look of the 1000 because its smaller and wont be as much of an eye sore but performance wise and ease of use which skimmer is the better choice?
