High Nitrates!

My nitrates are off the charts high. I learned this about 1 month ago. No algae whatsoever. I was over feeding and have since cut way back on that, have brought my sandbed down to 1". I have a refugium and put more macro algae and mangroves in it, have been doing multiple water changes and just started vodka dosing. Nothing is working! And bc I've cut back on feeding, my corals look awful and my Hippo Tang has Ich! Nightmare! Any suggestions? It's a 180g mixed reef with about 150# of live rock and a Reef Octopus skimmer. I know the vodka dosing and water changes will eventually start doing the trick (hoping), but in the meantime.... This sucks.
