Livestock question

Hi everyone,



I was at petco today and I found nice healthy fish (yellow tang and kole tang), however I noticed that tanks here have Cyanobacteria. Question is it safe to buy from tanks having Cyanobacteria?

Any advise? Just afraid I would ruin my tank with Cyanobacteria.

Anyway, quick background of my setup:

- 40 gallon long (48”)

- Tank has been set up for 5-6 weeks

- Live aragonite ~ 15 lbs used

- Dry BRS rock ~ 35 lbs used

- AC HOB filter

- Hydor ATO

- Jebao MP-25 wavemaker

Water Parameters:

- SG 1.023

- Ammonia 0

- Nitrites 0

- Nitrates 5-10

- phosphates 0

- calcium 380

- Temp 80F

- Using RO/DI water
