Help! my poor carpet anemone is super unhappy with me! it is usually huge about 1' in diameter but i have been noticing some changes, he has closed up by about 20% and has his mouth wide open :( it has constant flow and is fed regularly.
my tank is 6'x2'x2' and two years old. i have had my carpet for about 9 months and up until the last few days it has thrived! there was a colony of 6 b&w clowns hosting it but about a month ago i had a nasty ich attack and had to put them into a hospital tank for treatment! is it possible that it just wants its clowns back?
the other issue which i imagine is the more likely reason for the problem is that my salinity fell way down to 1.020, i am slowly bringing it back up but still am concerned about the anemone!
can it be saved or do i need to take it out?
all of my fish and my two bubble tip anemones are doing great!
