Getting started with GFO...Few questions

So my GFO and reactor will be here tomorrow. I have watched what feels like hundreds of youtube videos about how to set up the reactor. I still have a few questions about the set up, and since this is where I come for real answers..... I know I need to rinse the GFO until the output from the reactor is clear but how much GFO do I put in the reactor? Is there a per gallon rule? I have read it depends on your livestock and bioload, but is there a loosely followed rule of thumb that will let me know I'm on the right track? Where do I install the reactor? Meaning, I am pretty sure I install it in the sump, but which side, Skimmer or return? Does it matter? Should the output be fed into a filter sock?



So many videos and hardly any of them addressed these questions, and the one or two that mentioned anything I don't completely trust because its only a couple out of a hundred videos.



Hopefully running this GFO will help with my algae problem..
