Fourth of July FRIDAY!

Good Morning and Happy Independence Day, Everyone! :)



On July 4th, 1776, the signers of the Declaration of Independence did not celebrate with fireworks and barbecues but many faced hardship and some would lose their lives as the result of their commitment to become citizens of a free and independent nation. We are all familiar with the powerful phrase of the second paragraph of the document; “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” But I commend the reading of the entire Declaration for the list of grievances against the King of England which precipitated the formation of The United States Of America.
