OK... I am getting a MH light fixture this weekend practically for free.
I have a reef breeders LED...
I will hang the reef breeders in the middle above the tank and take MH fixture apart to separate it into two pendants... Removing the actinics and using the wiring to lengthen the connection between the dual MH. I will cap off the ends (after sawing the fixture in half) with small fans to aid in cooling the units.
The pictures show my ideas... in the one picture is before and after separation.
The second picture shows how I plan to hang the lights, blue wires are power cords running to outlet. Red wires are the connecting wire between the two MH pendants
Any one do this before? Anyone have any tips/suggestions?
