Hey guys I set up my 72g bow front a month or so ago, and noticed a cyano outbreak. I don't know what is causing this maybe its just a new tank thing? But I also heard that dry base rock will grow cyano? It does not grow on my cured pieces from my other tanks. I do weekly 10% water changes and suck out the detritus from the sump before water changes, I clean the skimmer cup every 3 days and I skim wet. I do have high nitrates cant seem to get them down. I do use an rodi unit that produces 0 TDS and have a BRS phosphate and carbon reactor. Do you guys think this bloom will go away with good husbandry or is there something I am doing wrong? Also I have 4 hydor evo 1150's two running continuously and two on a controller switching every minute for random flow. Any advice or opinions are welcome thank you!!
