Just this saturday i bought a 900w APC power supply with the intent of running my tunze wavemaker only. It has enough power to run it for 3.5 hours. Talk about lucky. I didn't bu it bec of this storm
Now with this storm coming, I will lose power 100% for who knows how long here in St. Aug FL.
I plan on hooking up a timer to the wave maker and turn it on for 15min every 2 hours. This only gives me 24 hours of a life line.
I will also put in my bubbler from my bait bucket which I think might run a good 48 hours non stop. Where I live I have no choice but to evacuate late thursday.
My wave maker from tunze in a 15 min window should put in some good air. Question is how long can i go between 15 min intervals. Can I do 3,4,5 hour intervals? Any experience out there?
Run the bubbler to max and wave maker every 6 hours for 15 min?
Man, I just spent 4k on this tank and it all can be lost so quickly. My corals are growing like crazy, happy fat fish, no algae issues. I'm so bummed
My apex controller came in today. Not even going to bother to hook it up :-(
