I am going to purchase a new RO/DI system soon and have a couple questions:
My tank now has seagrass in it and needs some nutrients in it for the grass to grow (only corals now are softies, potentially going to get a couple LPS but not getting crazy). I would like to use the unit for drinking water, as well as tank water. My LFS recommended for my current aquarium, to just get an RO unit rather than an RO/DI. What do y'all think? Should I go for RO/DI and just depend on fertilization/bioload for nutrients?
If I do get RO/DI, I know I can tee the line off before the DI for drinking water. Does anyone here do this and can you tell me how you did it? Water Reservoir? Bypass the refrigerator filter and have the line go to the water output?
I had a BRS 4 stage unit previously and it was great. Thinking of a refurb spectrapure, aqua FX, or the one from amazon below. Any experience with the ones from amazon?
