Lost a fish today

My fairy wrasse finally got her wish, shes been trying to kill herself for the past 6 months and succeeded early this evening. normally she just goes batshit crazy at feeding time and ends up flying out of the tank. Sometimes she jumps repeatedly into the glass lid and then disappears for a day or two, i guess trying to recover from brain damage. she has also managed to get herself stuck in the built in overflow a couple times too. Well tonight, at feeding she jumped into the glass lid repeatedly and then managed to jump out and landed between the tank and the wall. It took my a minute to get her out, not much space. when i finally got her, she was covered in dog hair, (seems to collect there) i didnt know what to do, didnt have much time so i just put her back in the tank. she immediately sank and was breathing heavily. i could see air bubbles in her mouth and gills, so i held her upright and the bubbles came out. i tried to hold her in the flow to get some water through her gills. She seemed paralyzed. after a few minutes she fluttered a little and i had hope, so i let her be, but after 30 minutes she turned upside down.. even though she was still breathing, i decided to end the suffering. As much as she pissed me off by getting into trouble and harassing my firefish, it sucks that she died like that. she will be missed, RIP Molly
