New 35 gallon saltwater aquarium.

hello.. so i need some help/advice. i decided to start a saltwater aquarium, and it will be my first time trying it. recently i bought a 35 gallon aquarium and it came with a 100w heater, canister filter (fluval 150) and powerhead. I do know they can be quite pricey and its okay I'm taking my time on this and not trying to buy everything at the same time. I've seen a lot of the tanks have skimmers on it and i read somewhere else that a tank that size don't need skimmers as long i do 25%-30% water change daily. so if y'all could just help me out with what would be a good filter (since I'm thinking of changing it). what are good recommendations for skimmers etc.. thanks.
