Help with dead rock

I acquired about a 100 lbs. of dried reef rock and was wondering how to clean off before adding it to a established tank and sump. Can I just soak it in water and rinse it with water or should i soak it in bleach and then rinse. It has been dry for a long time and just want to get the dried up material off of it. Thanks
