For the past 10 months or so ive been using a t8 6500k bulb to grow my chaeto in sump. Seems now that growth has slowed, and starting to see cyano here and there on the outer edges of chaeto, making me feel that the chaeto has ceased growing.
What would be the best bulb for growing chaeto at optimum levels? Does chaeto like to be blasted with light? More focused as leds, or more dispersed as a cfl? And does ot prefer a lower red kelvin near the 2000s or better in the 5100-6500k rating?
Whats your thoughts?
Im thinking the leds would be nice because it would keep light from spreading far consequently hindering microalgae growth in areas i want to keep clear.
