After reading different threads and realizing how stupid it would be to actually spend money on premixed salt water. It completely makes sense to go RO/DI and make my own. I still have a few questions though...
1. Is the DI necessary? I see a lot of RO units for sale that do not say DI
2. When I first add salt
To my tank tank can I mix it in the aquarium with down pipe open at full throttle and only return pump on?
3. If I mix in tank is that bad for live sand? (All rock is dry rock that I soaked in vinoger and rinsed)
4. What brand of salt do you use and what is best salinity level? Should I try and match the LFS or should I just try to stay in a range and go off the directions on the bucket of salt.
