Shrimp killed both clownfish

Hello all. I am new to salt water and have just went through cycling my tank. I had two clownfish that I got about a week ago. After about 3 days my husband had come home to find the bigger of the two being eaten by the shrimp we have in the tank. We thought it had just died and they ate it. Well, today he watched the shrimp pull the one that we had left under a rock and start eating it, not cleaning it, but eating it and killed it. What would make this happen?



The shrimp we have are one camel shrimp and two peppermint shrimp.
