Running Cost Per Gallon (Survey)

I'm just doing a survey to see how much it costs the average aquarist to run their saltwater tank in relation to tank size.

This is only for the consumables.

Examples-

Salt

RO/DI water (about $0.05 per gallon)

If you use salt and RO/DI water you can just use $0.35 per gallon total for cost.

Fish Food

Carbon

GFO

Dosing liquids

Electricity (Average US price is $0.13 per KWH so multiply your tanks total wattage by $0.094 to get a rough idea of your monthly costs.)

Etc Etc...

Once you know how much your tank costs per month divide that by your tanks volume..

So my tank takes 60 gallons a month in RO/DI Saltwater costing me $21 a month and 20 gallons ATO RO/DI water which is about $1. Food costs me about $10 a month. Carbon is about $5. And I run at about 380 watts which is about $35. Thats a total of roughly $72 a month. And my tank is 75 gallons so it's roughly $1 per gallon.

This doesn't have to be 100% accurate (You can guess if you feel comfortable) but if you could help me out and get some good information I would appreciate it. I'm trying to gather info to make a good, simple, and informative information guide to people considering this hobby.
