Pump for ATO

Hey, so i finally got around to firing everything up today and the only thing that has let me down so far is the ATO. To narrow it down, the outlet from the ATO for the pump isn't powering the pump. Now i bought this off ebay from the US, it's a hydor ATO http://ift.tt/1pScRNT which accepts 240V 50/60Hz which is good for me here in Aus so i changed the power plug for the controller but the outlet i left and decided to use the US plug on the pump and just simply plug that in to the ATO. So i dropped the water to the min sensor, light changes to indicate it's at min but the pump doesn't receive any power, my guess is that the outlet only lets off 110/120V which isn't powering my 240V pump because i tested the pump & it works.



So what is a good pump i can buy off ebay from the US to use for an ATO? I had a quick look at BRS and saw http://ift.tt/1pScPFL eheim compact pump 300. Would this be enough?
