Options to get rid of single Aiptasia

Hi folks,

Newb here. My 20 gal high tank has been up and running for just over a month now. I have 3 fish at the moment. I added a yellow belly damsel after 1 week when ammonia, nitrite and nitrates were zero. At week 2, I added a pair of small clownfish. Ammonia, nitrite and nitrates has been zero since week one. So far so good. I also have about 16 lbs of live rock.

A few days ago, I went to the LFS because I wanted to add some corals. I ended up with some mushrooms, two xenia stalks on a small piece of live rock, and some very nice zoas that cover a live rock which is about the size of a small fist.

Last night, while doing some close inspection of the zoa colony, I saw the tentacles of what appears to be Aiptasia sticking out of one of the crevice in the rock where the zoa colony is. It's still very small and only several tentacles are visible at the moment.

I spent hours last night reading up on how to get rid of these pests and I'm very worried about it taking over the tank.

This is the only one I see. I've spent a lot of time thinking about how to get rid of it. Here are some things I'm thinking about and I would like to hear which method you guys think will work best....

1. Keeping the water clean and feeding only what the fish will consume without leaving uneaten leftover food. I do a 1/2 gallon water change every other day. I'm hoping that a clean environment may be too "sterile" for the Aiptasia and it would slowly die off.

2. Wait for it to get a little bigger and use Aiptasia-X. I've read mixed results of this product. Some say it won't kill them, it will just aggravates them and make them multiply, while others say it's the best product to kill them with.

3. Buy a single Peppermint Shrimp. I saw these guys at the lfs where I bought the corals. I can go back next week to buy the shrimp.***

*** I think the shrimp is probably the best method of removal, BUT, I'm not quite sure how it will turn out because I know I got a shrimp hitchhiker with the zoa colony as well. On the first day, while I was checking it out, I saw this tiny claw reaching out of the opening of the rock that has the zoa colony. It looked pale yellow. Looks like the claw of a small shrimp. Saw him doing the same thing on day 2. I didn't move the rock because I was hoping that the position in which I have the rock would prevent it from coming out and it would die off in there because I have no idea if I got a good or bad shrimp. So all I've seen is a claw reaching out. I have no idea if this small shrimp is roaming the tank or not.

That's why I'm not sure if the peppermint shrimp would work. I'm worried the hitchhiker may kill it when I introduce him and I wouldn't even know it because I hear you rarely see them.

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.
