So I bought a Maxima clam 3 days ago. I tried to place it on a nice ledge with plenty of space and light but it kept knocking itself off. while on the bottom it looked happy so I put a flat rock under it and left it there. last night it started secreting some long stringy mucus. But, still opening and closing and seemingly happy. I didnt see anything attacking it so im assuming it may be from what Ive read releasing excess. All parameters are good temp is 79. Any ideas its seems common but its my first clam and want to make sure everything goes well for the little guy.
