Least amount of stress for coral

I have a buddy going about 2 hours away right now to pick up some coral for me (he was going there anyway). I might be able to pick up tonight, but possibly not until tomorrow morning.

My question. What would be worse for the coral (SPS). Having him hold it in the bag until I can pick up while floating in his tank, or taking them out of the bags, putting in his tank, then rebagging less than a day later?

I am thinking keeping them in the bag so they wont have to acclimate twice in a day, but in the bag they will get no flow and I am afraid of tissue loss due to that.

What do you think?
