Is it possible to move stuff from my well established old tank to completely brand new tank WITHOUT creating any cycle?
I don't intend to take any short cuts or cutting corner but more to feed my curiosity.
If I keep my new tank @ 1.025 and the right temperature but yes, there will be no bacteria added and slowly introduce old live rocks to the new tank, what will happen? I assume cycle will still happen huh, because there is no bacteria as yet?
Another thing is that I was advised by my LFS, when cycling, there is no need to do 1.025 salinity. He suggested 1.015 - 1.020 will do. Is this correct? The reason I asked this question is because if mini cycle/cycle will happen anyway and if this theory is correct, then I might follow suit. :banana:
