We are in the third week of cycling our new 100 gallon + 20 gallon sump reef tank. We cycled with live rock and the ammonia has been 0 for 2 weeks along with the nitrites/nitrates. We get our water from the LFS. We are moving things from our old 29 gallon to the new tank but have noticed in the last week we have an algae bloom happening, but instead of the normal brown algae bloom I've seen before we actually have a longer haired green algae coming up in small dots everywhere.
We currently have 1 large turbo, 3 trochus snails, 2 peppermint shrimp, 1 hermit and 1 blue legged hermit. At this stage in the cycle and given the algae issue, what would you suggest we do? Water change, more CUC, or both?
