Torch regeneration ?

I had one of my torches die overnight the other day, was nothing but the white ridges left, I'm not sure if it was because the lighting was too strong on my Razor LED's but have now configured the setting to a more appropriate level after finding out that the presets can be too strong. Anyways I didn't remove the dead torch from the tank yet,and tonight I see in the moonlighting what looks like tissue waving from the skeleton like tentacles, but not exactly how torch tentacles normally look. Could the torch be regenerating? Is it possible with the right conditions that the tissue will come back?
