I am now considering creating a "sump", but only to keep the water levels at a constant in the display, and because I have a 20 gallon nano I am only planning on having a 4 gallon sump. The sump will only include my heater, not skimmer as the sumps levels will fluctuate but the tanks won't.
I have looked up what type of return pump I would need, considering the water will need to travel vertically by 44 inches.
Like I said before the sumps only focus is the get the heater out of the way and to keep the display tank water levels correct.
Oh and btw I'm in uk and the mag pumps seem to be primarily focused in the us so the postage would cost a bit.
