Torch coral: IS THIS NORMAL?

:mermaid:I removed my torch coral from the rock in my old tank to transfer it to my new one. And when i did a lot of the tips seemed to fall off and were floating around the tank. IS THIS NORMAL? :goldfish: :fish: :goldfish:
