Tanks been great! I just switched salts last weekend, from salinity to red sea pro. I noticed one Acro showing skeleton on the base. Looking at my test before I had 410 ca, 1240 mag 8.7 dkh, 0 nit. Now my test read 480 cal 1500 mag and a dkh of 9.8, nit of 2. I've also noticed a increase in minor nuisance algae because ive backed of of nopox for a faster growth keeping the nit around 1-2.
Also to mention this coral has barley showed polyps and colored has been off since I bought it. It's A coral that you see great color from in spots but needs some tlc to make it shine(purple and green, almost like the incredible hulk). Also the branches of this coral are growing great and every thing else in my tank is doing good. Using red sea test, and waiting for my Lfs to resupply the phos test kits.
Is to many things hopping at once affected the coral, is raising the nitrates to 1-2 causing phos to jump up crazy, is it just that one coral that's a pain to me?
Looking for suggestion. I'll probably never know the answer and will start bringing my nit down to undetectable. Thanks guys and gals. Picture posting soon
