I recently have found an unidentified algae in my tank. It's coming out of the live rock and it is thicker than hair algae. A few months ago I added about a cup of Green Gracilaria Algae to my tank while I was gone for a few weeks to feed my fish. It kind of looks like Gracilaria to me but I'll let you be the judge:
Sorry for the lack of scale but they're about a 4th of an inch long.
