Hey guys, so had a problem with my clam today.. I've had him for about a month now and the whole time he was happily attached to a frag tile on the sandbed. He wad always opened up all the way, everyday, never seemed to show any signs of unhappiness. Well last night I went to work and all was fine, I get home 8 hours later and that changed. The clam moved off his tile, moved about an inch over, then burrowed down a bit and attached to my coco worms tube and when doing so, he pushed the coco worms opening down so it was in the sand.. So it was either leave them be and the coco worm would be totally pissed, or detach the clam. Well obviously I had to detach the clam because the coco worn would not even attempt to cone out with the sand beginning to get inside his opening. So I looked up ways on how to get the clam off, tried teasing him off, tried to slowly tug every now and then hoping he would let go, all to no success. I ended up having to cut his little strands with a razor blade right at the surface of the coco worms tube. But I have read that any damage to the clams underside tissue a lot of times causes death. He hasn't came out at all really since then. I'm wondering if there is anything I can do or if I have to just pray and wait...
