I had an idea of a device, which I think could be used to remove nitrates by creating anaerobic environment where denitrifying bacteria can live. I was thinking of pumping water very slowly through a bucket filled with sand.
I was hoping that the conditions there would be similar to plenum.
Can anyone comment on this idea ?
