So I might be a bit crazy as someone asked me this today and I really had no other answer then the one I gave.
So I have fish tanks and I have my own RO DI water system in which I create my own water for the tanks. I really do not want them to touch tap water as I just don't know what is in it. So I rinse all of my equipment in the RO DI water, down to my stir sticks. My friend tells me I am crazy and that I can use tap water to rinse off things like filters, buckets, etc but I just refuse to since I don't want anything I use for my tanks touching tap water. I tried to explain that to him but he doesn't seem to get it.
Am I crazy or does it not really matter?
