Ok so first off my reef tank is doing great! Everything is growing well, and it looks nice. I got two engineer gobies tonight and they are adjusting well.
I normally plan things out really but had to jump on a pretty good deal. A local guy is taking down his 180G tank. He made me an offer on his live rock, and corals. It looks like I am getting 100-150lbs of live rock. The tank looks like it's in bad shape. But the rock has tons of coral on it. It's going to be some work, but I am excited! I will have a 40B set up for corals. Some totes for curing live rock without corals on it. And I built a 100W LED fixture for the coral tank. I think there is over 200+ mushrooms, HUGE rocks covered in Zoas. Everything looks good through the mess! I see lots of potential. But have to drive 75 miles to get it all.
Nothing will enter my display tank until it's been cleaned, and checked for hitchhikers. I bought this rock for the corals on it. Now.... It's going to be interesting how much extra rock I will have once I make my tank look like its overflowing with more stuff. What the heck do I do with all that extra live rock? I can sell some of it, but I am getting such a good deal I don't want to.
