I spotted it lying on a rock in the sand flat out for an entire afternoon. I was getting worried so I delicately picked it up and put it on the sand. Off he went. Did not notice anything. Well, when he got to the glass one of his arms wouldn't stick to the wall. Now, it appears to be falling off. He's been in basically the same spot all day with one arm hanging off.
I've heard a dead starfish can be pretty toxic to the tank, so I am looking for your thoughts. Here's a picture of him right now:
Poor guy..
Should I take him out? Should I just wait? He's been right there in the same spot for awhile..
Tank is decently established. It's been up for about 5 months. 29 gallon biocube. intank media with fliter floss, purigen, chemipure. Korona ? wave pump.
EDIT: I should note he's been in the tank probably 2 1/2 months or so. This isn't a new acclimation type thing.
