Has anyone ever had a problem with algea growing on their rocks?
Here is a brief history and what I've been working with.
I went and had the local fish store test my salinity and it was way off the charts. After that I done I 20 gallon water change and brought it down to 40 on the refractometer.
Right now it's sitting at 25 salinity and I have been treating it with NOPOX slowly but haven't seen any changes in the algea. I recently got aprotien skimmer and done some more water changes.
The latest test that I done a couple days ago my nitrates were still high. I've been slowly doing water changes so that I don't shock everything.
Anyway, is there another way to kill the algea?
