Hi everyone, it's been a while! My tank has been up for about seven months now. Since I added my protein skimmer a little over a month ago I have now had anymore issues with Dinos or other algae outbreaks. My fish are still the same- 1 chromis, 2 bar gobies, 1 six line, 1 clown. I love to watch my six line swim- it's kind of like watching a humming bird fly. The bar gobies are really cute- they dug out a cave under one of my rocks and stay in there 50% of the day. When they see me in front of the tank they come out and they are always swimming together- it's a cute relationship they have gong on.
I had a rock that was being overtaken by Xenia (never ever again) but I put some green star polyp on it and it's killing the Xenia (yay!) I also have a few zoas, birds nest, mushrooms, frogspawn, acan and a Duncan that has grown six more heads since i put it in my tank about a month ago.
The only issues I've run into is the effing Xenia- it started to grow on EVERYTHING...you will see in my pics epoxy on my rocks and that's because it's the only way I can smother the Xenia. In a month or two when I know it's dead I'll pull it off.
Second issue is that my tank is still heavy on nutrients... I have green algae and hair algae growing on my live rocks.
Last think is that I had an RBTA that was extremely healthy and happy but about two weeks ago it disappeared.... I can't find it anywhere! If it died it would have nuked my tank right? But it was really healthy before so I'm not sure why it would die all of the sudden.
