Hello All:
I came home from work today and found out that my lights failed. They are old hand-me-downs and I ran out to get new ones. So my tank was without lights for about 16 hours maybe.
Everybody except my hammer (my only coral) seem fine.

5 month old tank, 92 gallons, sump, skimmer, UV, media reactor with NPX BioBalls
My hammer is closed and oozing a brownish, string-cheesy, slime. Could it be because it was deprived of light for so long? Should I assume it is dead and remove it? Or just wait?
Thanks so much!
