I currently have a 125 gal reef tank with a blue Khoran, a blue hippo tang, a yellow tang, a clownfish, a rabbit fish, two cardinals and a purple headed dotty back. The tank has been up and running for about 2 years now.
I am relocating from New York to Florida and I'm trying to figure out if I can keep them or if I should unload everything. I plan on driving from NY to FL and don't know how to transport the fish successfully. And I'm not sure how I can get a tank running down there before transferring the fish from location to location.
Anyone have any experience moving tanks such a large distance? How do you move live fish?
My main issue is the house in FL is being built and there won't be any advance opportunity to go in and set up the tank before moving south.
