Bean Animal air tube

In the text of "Bean Animals Bar and Grille" he write - "The Open Channel standpipe (right) is fitted with an airline that is curled back over and attached just below the trim inside the overflow box (more on this later)."

What exactly does he mean "just below the trim inside the overflow box"? Is that at the top or bottom?
