I have been treating the crap out of my tank with ruby reef rally which has Acriflavine as on of its active ingredients. I believe the Acriflavine is what has been beneficial to helping me eradicate a velvet outbreak I had, the question is can I switch from ruby reef rally to straight Acriflavine from Fishvet without running the skimmer/uv or water change? Im worried that a slight temp change PH shift or even nutrient may stur up any remaining velvet as velvet has characteristics of plants and animals and it reacts even to lightning.
