Converting Vortech MP (W)es to the new (QD)

I was on the vortech website earlier and noticed they have a new controller for the MP series pumps called (QD) Quiet Drive. Apparently if you have a WES model you can just buy the upgrade QD board which basically swaps out the controller internals along with the black housing for just $50. Ecotech claims that this will lower the pump noise by as much as 90% if i read correctly! Has anyone done this yet and did it work for you?? I'm thinking about doing it, it's only $50 and it will be well worth it if it get's rid of the pitch noise i receive from my unit when it's running over a certain percentage, granted my dry side is only a few months old and has sounded like this from day 1.
