So I buy LOTS of fish and pay close attention to availability.
I have recently purchased some leopard wrasses and shrimp from Petsolutions.com. Interestingly, the availability of fish is IDENTICAL. Check out the availability and size of black leopard wrasses, and blue star leopard wrasses (I believe pet solutions calls them vermiculate or something). They're the same size and sex.
I have ordered four leopards from pet solutions. Two of them are still alive, two of the blue stars did not make it 24 hours (but neither did 4 more from Live Aquaria but I have had good luck with all other leopard species).
NONE of the four arrived dead or appeared weak, sick, or unhealthy upon arrival. A few from LA have. To be fair though, I have ordered more than 2x as many leopards from LA so my sample sizes are different.
However, LA doesn't sell ornate leopard wrasses. Petsolutions does. It survived and is THRIVING. My black leopard is also doing well from petsolutions. I have also gotten notifications from both for the SAME fish within 24 hours of each other for the past couple months. My guess is they buy from the same distributor.
The other benefit of petsolutions is a $99 or more order has FREE SHIPPING (rather than the 225 on Live Aquaria)
The warranty is the same between the two companies. Both 14 days. I got my refund for the two lost blue star leopard females within 24 hours of calling. Very easy, very very happy with them. It takes live aquaria 2-10 days to complete my refund for losses.
I am a huge proponent of live aquaria, but will shift my smaller purchases to petsolutions. I am 90% certain it is the same stock, and thus the shipping comes from the same place I suspect. If they can ship me healthy leopards (notoriously difficult) then I bet they can ship nearly anything well.
There is no comparable place to Divers Den, but take a look at petsolutions AND live aquaria - especially if you are doing smaller purchases.
Their customer service was always very friendly as well. Almost as good as live aquaria. Unlike petco and freshmarine, shipments come when they're supposed to, they keep you updated, and the availability shown online is actually available!
