My Bare bottom experience thus far.

I recently decided to go BB in my reef cube that has been up and running for just under 2 years, I got tired of siphoning the sand and now matter how little phosphates and nitrates that are in the tank I always manage to have some unsightly uglies on the bottom floor..not a lot but enough to make things look a bit ugly. About a week ago I finally did it and started siphoning the sand out while doing a water change and I got basically the front half of the tank done in one sitting. What I can say now is that WHY DIDN'T I DO THIS SOONER! lol. It looks so much cleaner IMO and from a technical stand point my glass has not gotten the usual mid week film on it that I would normally see about 4 days after I clean it off. The whole system just looks cleaner and the corals look more happy since, also there doesn't appear to be any film on the bottom as there was when I had the sand there. I can't wait to get the rest out!...Just thought I'd share my findings for anyone on the verge of deciding either way.
