Stocking my 55

Hows it going TRT Community!?

I have a 55 that i starting cycling about 6 weeks ago.. Ive been advised by the TRT community throughout the process and feel like things are going well!

About two weeks ago my water quality was & is currently;

pH = 8.2

Ammonia/nitrates/Nitrates = 0.00

SG = ~ 1.0245

Salinity - 33 ppm

temp = varies between 76-78

I added a Percula Clown to the tank 3 days ago.

Question :

1) How long/at what water quality standards can i begin to add more fish to the tank? (i expect there to be a lag in nutrient spiked from the addition of this clown)

2) I intend on adding another clown to the tank at some point. is there a preference to which sub-species of clown to get/steer away from?

3) Any preferences on food for the clowns? Best quality/nutrition? Frozen or dry food?

I intend on doing a 20% water change when i receive my RO/DI unit sometime this week, and twice monthly for regular maintenance afterwords.

I would also like to get a blood fire shrimp relatively soon. Preferably to eat some of the extra food/detritus/algae growing on the base rock/live rock/ and colonized sand.

Any timeframe to wait for the shrimp? Is it the same concept regarding bio-load when adding shrimp to the tank?

Im going to go to my LFS and ask to get a juvenile yellow tang and blue tang

(although unadvised, I'm going with juveniles so i have plenty of time to let them grow and then relocate into a larger tank in the future)

This is ideally what i would like to stock my tang with. Along with various varieties of zoanthids:

Clown Fish

Foxface

Yellow Tang

Blue Tang

Blood Fire Shrimp

Saddle Valentini Puffer

Also, regarding the zoanthids and their relative height to my 4 T5HO's;

1) How far should they ideally be? (54w each 48'' long).

Im thinking about creating a "shelf" across the tank and stocking it with frags, but i would like to know how far from the light/waters edge the "shelf" should ideally rest..

Any planning/timing knowledge/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks again,

Josh
