possible ro/di setup next week, need some water storage advice

well its a month late but i should be getting an ro/di system next week. and with that ill be making plans for a water station. ive been using a 30g tank to mix my water and im comfortable with the amount of water i can produce at one time. so i wanna make my station be able to hold 30g of salt water and 30g of h20. i have a steel shelving unit but i highly doubt i can fit 60g of water on it, 20, maybe 40 but not 60 (unless i use two upright containers), so ill be making a new shelf for this (plus the metal shelf is for storage). so now i need to figure out what to store water in. whats going to be able to plumb nicely and what wont wear down within a few years.

the plan i have in my head is a 3 story shelf.

30g tote of h20 on the bottom, ro/di unit in the middle and 30g tote of salt on the top.

the h2o will eventually have an ato system installed with its own plumbing to my sump. ill plumb further up on the tote (maybe at the 25g mark) to avoid getting any detritus that might be settled at the bottom.

the h20 will have a drain at the bottom for detritus removal and to completely drain.

the h20 will have a 3rd bulkhead that has a pump feeding the 30g salt tote. it will also be plumbed at the 25g mark. (or ill plumb it inline with the empying drain and use a filter sock en route to the salt tote to utilize all 30g).

the 30g salt container will only actually hold 25g of water (due to 5gal in the h20 tote not being able to be pumped out). this tote will be able to be completely emptied during a w/c. plumbing from this to the sump will have a filter sock on it when being emptied out to catch any detritus. it will also have a heater and pump/powerhead circulating water. i may or may not put these on timers as to not waste electricity. i think they will do with being turned on the day of mixing (for a day) and a day or two in advanced of a water

change.

something like this:

cheap and easy but will it safely hold the water? does it stand up to having bulkheads drilled in and attached?

i have a 10g tote i use when aquascaping and just a general holding area i can put lr/coral/stuff into that needs to stay submerged, it looks like it holds up fine if you don't move it but in retrospect ive also moved household goods with these totes and my 10g tote and they seem strong but fragile at the same time. i know people here make sumps out of these totes but sumps rarely ever operate at maximum water capacity to make room for the occasional stoppage and have extra room to prevent floods. but how about on a 100% water capacity all the time basis?
