Hello TRT from Idaho! My name is Dan, and I have spent a great deal of time on TRT since last December...that's when my better half gave me the OK to totally destroy the Feng Shui of our family room and build a 110 gal. mixed reef tank.
I consider myself extremely fortunate to have found TRT at the onset of my planning stages! The level of expertise available on this site is amazing! I went from DSB/Fuge planning to HABB (half-assed bare bottom/no fuge) after spending hours and hours and hours reading Geoff's "reef keeping made easy" thread.
This is my 3rd saltwater tank, the last having been a FOWLR 100 gal. more than 15 years ago.
I "lit up" the new 110 on March 13th this year. I'm quite pleased with the progress to this point.
I am going to add a thread in "tank specs" soon, and also a "build" thread as time permits. Once I have those threads going, I can't wait for the experts comments and suggestions!
