Adding dry rock and lift.

So I'm adding 30lbs of dry reef cleaners rock and a rock lift. I've got four fish, two shrimp and 5 zoas. Do you think its better to take out all the live rock, put the lift in and add it all back or leave the live in and work around the fish. I wanna get a good cleaning in while doing this.
