Ok, I'm new to posting here, but certainly not new to reading here. With that said I hope I am not infringing on rules or feet by asking this. If so please tell me how to do so appropriately.
This hobby is spendy and while I'm new to it I figured I'd start out cheap while I learn. The guy on craiglist was super cool who sold me his terrarium as an aquarium for $20. This terrarium gonna be aquarium is 36 x 18 x 16h (apx 45g) with 1/8in thick panels. After doing some supremely informational reading, by Warren Stilwell, I find I need about 3/8in thick glass. Has anyone else out there done a similar retrofit. I must be able to reinforce the existing panels somehow. I mean, I could wrap the thing in steel straps or vice all edges together with wood. Steel however is tougher to see through and wood warps when it gets wet. Any ideas?
