Reef snow?

Im considering feeding my tank. Right now the diet consists of new life spectrum pellets every day, mysis 3X per week and nori for the yellow tang.



I've looked into "whole tank foods" for my corals and many, most notably reef snow, says it contains dissolved organic compounds. Sounds like poo to me. Or is it special magic poo?



What do you guys use as a whole tank food? I've got a very mixed reef, including a clam.
